lake bomoseen perch and trout! great fun

fished the bomo derby today and caught more perch than i have ever caught in one trip to the lake before, we had 6 of us fishing and we caught at least 50 perch. in the pic there are like 30+ perch we caught and the biggest trout.  the other 15-20 perch not in the pic were very tasty as we grilled them up for lunch,  all perch but two were around 11-12 inch mark and weighed .80 to .90lbs.  we caught 1 that was just over a pound that made 3rd place by the end of the day sat.  hope it stays. we will try some bass fishing tommorow and i'll post any pics if we catch um

Pike was 17.8, 15 something, 13 something, and 11

Bass was all in the 5 pound range

the Perch were huge! All between 1.1 - 1.25 pounds

and the Trout were pathetic... 1.88, 1.79 and down from there....

we had 1st place perch which was $300.  plus a free mount which will be presented next yr.  it was 1.21lbs.  we caught another 20 or so which were a little smaller but had a great weekend.  we were trying real hard to get a trout but the perch were coming up 6ft under the ice for our bait.  only caught 1 trout at 1.50lb  just a little off 4th place

sounds like our weekend !!!
12 hrs of fishing on saturday and three small browns (12-14"). sunday not much better, one small perch
i guess i won't be getting the auger!! wat to go !!
