hurricane oil lamps

Does any one use oil lamps in or outside there shantys, i read that paraffin oil is clean burning and doesn't give off a oder. Is there enough light with the paraffin oil. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Bill

I use oil lamps in my cabin. They give off plenty of light, but the cabin is well vented. I personally think a Coleman propane lantern is the way to go
