There is a launch on shipyard road in Highgate Springs that you can drive out on the ice. Not much parking near the ramp except if you park on the ice.

Parking/access area at rock river is on rte 7 and is into the river, no go for ice access. Follow crappie chasers adv. Highgate springs left across from the store, boat access right onto Miss bay. If you head north on the lake to fish around rock river beware of thin ice from the current where the river dumps in. Heard 2nd hand the crappie were cooperative between goose & gander bays last weekend, any confirmation?

You can drive on at the shipyard if you turn across from Martins store in Highgate Springs on rt 7.  I was up there a couple of weeks ago and there was about 16 in of ice and vehicles all over the place.
