It's not going to happen around Regina, it's forcast to be 10C Friday, 11 Sat. , then seasonal values.  But that long-range chart shows a sharp drop at the start of Nov.  Cold enough to hang a deer so mother nature's going to be right on time.  I don't think we get on Last Mtn. much earlier than early to mid Dec most years.  Since the lake's so long and oriented North-South a lot depends on the wind.
The problem with quotes on the internet is that they're difficult to prove.

We's have about 2" on the ground here in Southern Alberta with more to come.  Weather is suppose to warm up a bit for Friday/Saturday then cool right back down again.  Looks like the possibility of another early one here.  Last year we got on the ice Nov 11 ;D

Muddler,
Where in southern Alberta?
I spent the first twenty five years of my life on the U.S. side of the border straight south of Medicine Hat.

Lucky on the office I guess...even got a view of the rocky mountains outta the deal.

Went out for a drive to the mountains last night and on the way out every pond was frozen right across.  Ahhh hopefully we are only mere weeks away from walking on water :D

I wisht that I could say the same but all the ice we had is melting, same with the snow, which is awful.
