Pretty Positive it went this order

1- Walleye caught in the last hour of the tourny
2- Shad that was CAUGHT not snagged
3- Another small walleye

May fish it this year not sure...
I fish everyday that ends in a \\\"Y\\\"

I still cant believe that shad was caught. i was pretty amazed when i found that out at the weigh in.  Hoping to better my 12 or 13 place finish last year with my .08 pound crappie i believe. it wasnt much of a fish haha

I will be out there again and yes the shad was caught not snagged. I fished there yesterday and had a huge crappie up the bottom of the ice. I cant wait for this year cause last years tournament was a blast.

i called the parks and rec department and they will be getting back to me tomorrow. the only reason why i asked was for my dad since he is disabled (very bad back and neck) I have no problems walking all over and dad was wondering because he thought it may help.

I'm planning on making the trip from Council Bluffs. I used to live in Des Moines and fished Easter a few times during the summer but never on the ice, any body got any tips on where to give it a shot.

it always amazes me how people show up so early, but if you dont you have to park a mile away. caught fish there today but nothing worth anything.  i think the lake has went down from last year.  nothing but dinks really.  We were on fish all day but nothing with size no matter where we moved to.

caught probably 30 fish, all were dinks and didn't want to make the walk to weigh 5 and 6" fish.
dont have a winners list but a 2lbs and some change catfish won and i believe 2nd and 3rd were catfish too.
easter lake is a horrible lake for this in my opinion as the fish are so small.... <<thats my opinion

I fished it on thursday and only caught dinks.  im not sure it really holds good fish, since last year the size on crappies have went down. i wish they could move it to a lake with better fish but im not sure they have much for options,  Blue Heron Lake possibly?

I caught a decent crappie out there on Saturday...  unfortunately, it was a day too soon  :P  Nothing but dinks (really, really little dinks) on tournament day  :(  I have had geat fun fishing the Derby the past two years, along with my son and one of his buddies...  however, I will not waste my time out there the rest of the year  ::)
