What's the regulations for using 4-wheelers or snowmobiles to drag your ice shack out on public lakes like big creek?

Can't run them on land either.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "............Holy crap.............what a ride!"

Hard-Ice, mine is registered in Iowa and a Minnesota DNR officer said it was fine up there to use.  As long as registration is current.

Iowa :
No more flags.
No more gaudy numbers.

Just a color coded sticker with a 10 on it.

Machines which belong to nonresident riders must
display a nonresident user permit in order to legally
operate on ice, designated trails, or an OHV park.
• Registration is not required for ATVs owned and used
by the United States, another state, or a political
subdivision of another state and ATVs being used for
agricultural purposes.

One would think the "nonresident user permit" would be your Mn sticker/registration.

But ... not so fast !!

Where to Register
Nonresident User Permits
County recorder’s office or ELSI vendor

Hard-Ice, I think toothfish answered pretty well.  I just can't understand why states can't get together on a lot of these laws and have reciprocity like others do around the nation. ::)
