i was there and the weight is correct.  her belly was loaded, the pic really doesn't do her justice.  he just needs some practice on holding a fish for a pic.  he's not used to catching anything pic worthy.  i'll teach him saturday.

For the guy that questioned the weight.  Here is a 38.5 inch fish I caught a couple weeks ago.  It weighed 16 pounds.

hey hardwater, maybe our scale is off, we will double check them and give an update.  looks like you don't practice catch and release i see.  thats a shame with a fish of that size and age.

Well there will be a replica of this fish on my wall.  It ate well.  Guys catch a lot of big ones in the 15 to 20 pound range where I caught this one.  Many fish like this in the river system.  I wasn't saying anyone was wrong about the weights but it is possible to have a 23 pound fish only be 40 inches.  Mine was short for being 16lbs.

Hardwater, how far away are you from the Sacandaga? Maybe you could come down with your scales to be the OFFICIAL weigh man. What do you think anyone has to gain by changing the weight of a fish when posting it. It's not a contest.
