Very good had one myself.  Problem is cross talk with other flashers especially vexilars.  They call it interference and you can't get rid of it.

I have one and initially thought it was junk because it didn't work right.  Then I realized (like Jitterbug said) it was just interference from my partner's Vexilar.  When I use it alone it seems to work fine.

They stopped making the colorpoint 8or 9 years ago. For $30 more you could have got a marcum vx-1 with a good interference rejection.

I don't condone the use of that word as it could be offensive to women, but I do agree that you got taken. Color points are going for 100-140 on ebay, I would never spend over $150 on one.

Back when I was living in Michigan, my buddy had a color point.  Good, good flasher...  #14 teardrops at 40' fishing smelt and the Zercom handled it without a hitch.

I've had a color point for the last 7 years and liked it but interference was always an issue. It Worked good for me unless I was fishing in very deep water over 60ft for perch, I could barely make out the marks in sunlight, I Just sold it for $150 2 weeks and bought a LX 5 from reeds yesterday can't wait.   I agree you paid too much or  I sold it too cheap! I paid $360 new for my color point all those years ago.
