It was a Crappie Day

This morning Timberdoodle and i went to a pond and tryed out luck. Did pretty good for like 3 hrs on the hardwater. Caught 23 Crappies and like 30 perch and 6 or so Sunfish. Not a bad day to be out. I took my Vexilar FL-20 on it's maiden Voyage and Nick took his FL-20 and all i can say for now that fishing with a Vexilar is like fishing in a barrel= What a difference as you can really anticipate the bite. We lost maybe 1/2 a doz crappies at the hole and a few other fish Nick also caught a Lg Mouth bass about 2 lbs. 15-16" Videoed that one as i thought he had the state record crappie on.
I went to another pond by myself and caugt close to 40 Yellow perch in 2 hrs=let them all go. The biggest 8-10 were only like 8-9"L The rest were like 5-7" and 2 finger perch. Punched holes all over and fished in the barrel=Vexilar style. LOL.
Later,
Kevin

nice catch there man. and that state record perch is something else.. better keep that spot to yourself
fishing with a fish finder of any kind is so much fun. i use an x67c, but i can't imagine fishin w/out it. in fact, my battery died in mine last weekend and i was amazed at how much i missed it. my catch numbers easily tripled once i got mine.
