fishing regulations question...
« on: Jan 16, 2010, 10:19 AM »
Hey guys, I just have a quick question about the nj fishing regulations for ice fishing...
After going over it, they state that you can use a tipup or line with one single pointed hook or one burr of 3 hooks.....what does that mean, can I put like 3 hooks an a tipup line like a foot away from eachother?? Or is it a treble hook?  I tried calling and searching online and can't seem to get an explanation from anyone...
Any info would be great...thanks in advance!

It means your allowed to use a treble hook but they have to be 1/2 space in between the hook and the bar of the hook....I usually use a treble it's good but not if the fish swallows hook  :-\

There can't be more than a 1/2" space between the point and shank of the hook
