went this a.m. there was anywhere between 3 1/2" - 5" so it varies but it was safe and its building alot today there was like a good quarter of an inch every time i went too check my tip ups and that was like every half hour. got some nice smallies and some nice perch too just too cold and windy

got to be careful there as I watched a kid go through on skates one time and we were on 8" of ice. some pockets must have springs under them

Agreed, that lake is touch and go lots of springs. I stick to places I know I dont travel over lots of Ice there not worth falling through for a couple fish.Be Careful!!

To answer your question not sure about New Fairfield, but Danbury Town park is good,lots of guys fishing out by the Island off the boat launch.Got to be better than 6" or so by now was out last week was around 5.

From what i here the NF town park has only and inch and half on it....... Better start freezing in time the  for the JIG n PIG

Heading to Candlewood tomorrow going off Candlewood Isle off the beach, that is just up the road from the Hatch. Anyone going up stop on by.

Fished off Candlewood shores in Brookfield. Had a great day caught several smallies and a handful of perch. Had 6"-7" of  Black ice. Saw a few snowmobiles go racing up the lake towards New Milford.

went to new fairfield today 10 guys only 2 browns around 1 1/2 # 3 smalls  4 yellows that's it but still nice to get out we had 4-6'' of good ice

Depends where you fish. I always check first when on that lake. We had 6-7 inches black ice on Friday so there should be some decent ice left. The nights will cool down before the weekend and should be good, but always check to be safe especially on Candlewood

yeah we fish down towards new milford i dont know if its called chiminey point im not sure but thats where we fish

plus now i believe the rest of the week isnt going to be too warm the nights are suppose to be back down in the 20's or high teens

TROPHY TROUT LAKE
Species: (T LMB SMB YP WC WP WA CB CP BB S)
Season: Open 6:00 am 3rd Saturday April-March 31.
Trout: From March 1- March 31, Daily creel limit-1, 16”
minimum length.
Other: 45 mph daytime speed limit, 25 mph from 1/2 hour after
sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise
