Was wondering if anybody knew how much ice there was and if anybody fished out there yet.

I was their yesterday,  it was slow for me I managed a few Yellow Perch one was just over 12",  (I'm thinking of entering it Blaine just for a shot at the drawing) and i did see 2 large  15 Lbs.  Pike caught by a group next to me. the ice was a solid 6-8 inches, stay away from the outlet to the right of the launch.

curse that lake.  its hit or miss as any pike fishing will be, but it does indeed hold some decent fish.  you gotta put in the work for em.  if you go, the main lake was fine for me on wed but the edges were dicey, water came up quite a bit.  you may want to bring waders to get on, just to be safe....stinks getting wet 1st thing in the am......
if the trout are lost, smash the state.

Got there late due to family obligations. Fished the afternoon 1:15 till dark. Only three perch in the 9" range. 5" ice over the deeper water. Windy afternoon.

Anyone know the law on 4 wheelers?  Can you run them on the lakes and do they need to be registered?  I have used them in NH and we needed to have them registered.

yes we have to have them reg. in ct to ride on any frozen body of water

but if you fish congomond or Hamilton or breakneck,or any other mass / ct lake , if  you get stopped by a mass. dep they don't recognize ct reg or any other state only mass.. they gave me a choice leave or take a ticket so i left

i was on Hamilton res, mass/ct line i had ct reg and nh reg but no mass reg so be careful

and till the legislation passes this is all we have is frozen bodies of water in ct.
