Float Plane Base

Sampled the Red near the Float Plane Base this morning.  Was setup with lines in the water by 7am.  Only managed two burbot and a small sauger in the first 2 hours.  Marked lots of fish on the humminbird, but could not get them to bite.  Tried rattle spoons and other lures but could not get anything to take a bait.  Just as we were packing up caught an 18" and 20" walleye back to back (10am).  Used fresh salties from starfish and a plain old neon yellow jig head.......

Right on it hasn't been too hot for me at the float plane base. 2 picks is good

I was out there yesterday morning for a few hours only managed two saugers, had a lot of bites that we missed.

The base is getting pounded bigtime over the last couple of weeks.Most have reported that the action has been slow here lately.It's a big river with lots of other locations to fish.Yours truly will be in another spot this weekend.

Went to an area near the base again today.  Fished 8 - 1130  only managed 5 sauger and these two greens:   Just enough for the frying pan.  Not sure where to try tomorrow?
