I just got a Humminbird 45 for xmas, have used it in my pond and once at a smaller lake. I went to a different lake today and the bottom would sometimes not hold steady 1/2 foot jump (only on the digi reading). Also I know this lake is very weedy, and in some spots I would get depth reading of only a couple feet and then it would jump to 8 feet or more. Is that because of the weeds?
