from the south come up 81 north get off exit 48 go east on 342 go to light and go north on rt 37 till flashing light in pamelia approx 5 miles then at light take a left west on jenkins rd for approx 2 miles dont go over 81 and take a right  north on perch lake rd go north approx 2 miles and on the left you will see the access road that goes under 81 and parking lot at end of access road good luck
the lake is shalow 6 feet of water for most lots of safe ice just stay away from the inlet to the right of where you go on ice and the outlet strait back from inlet

from syracuse, you travel through at least 5 snow belts and 81n is always treacherous. its bright and sunny and in a heartbeat it becomes a whiteout. lottsa fish in there but take care and return home safe.

I can remember my first outing on perch lake. It was around the time it opened up for ice fishing  only . i cant remeber but it was around 8 to 10 years ago , anyways we layed into the slabs  . I have never seen crappies slam ice jigs like that. It was proably due to it being a private lake And no fishing pressure. Its  now nothing like it was then . Was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the BIG perch / crappies there like the first few years ...

Heading North for Tournament on Sat. Thought I would try Perch lake Sunday.  Any advise , easy to park? get on? cant seem to find a topo map but i here it isnt any deeper than 10-12fow.   Anyway, anyone have any good info? I can always reciprocate with tricks for sacandaga and Caroga
