29" of snow last week total, unless you got a snowmobile your not going far. No access is plowed and won't be unless a fisherman does it. I'm having fun sledding fishing may wait a week.

I was thinking about coming over for a little sledding / fishing. Is the ice safe with all the snow on it?
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!!! Fish On!!

we fished on east on sun. at least 14-16 inches of ice with 4-5 inches of water on top with 18" of snow on top of that, talk about a nightmare :o :o there were plenty of sleds running in upper gar not much hope for a atv though.

When are you coming, would like someone to ride with. Gotta find some sled head friends I guess.

Was on Spirit the last few days- I'd have to say I did pretty well, put a pounding on the walleyes. Should have baught a sled this year rather than an ATV :) It's a work out right now with all the snow and frigid temps.

Oh, I was not on Angler's :)

Went out today, got a few gills. It was cold. There is a road plowed out at anglers bay. If you use it make sure you get off the road when you park. And if anyone knows the guy that did it tell him thanks for me.

Had the same problem last sunday afternoon.  I think I tied every jig I had on twice.  Tried wax worms, spikes, fake stuff, worms, and even crappie nibblets.  The most frustrating part was watching all them *****s on the camera come screaming in and take off just as fast.  Did see a lot of fish though (perch, bluegill, walleye, northern, and a bullhead).

Me and the old man will be getting out there tomorrow. Old man can't walk very good had a bad construction accident when he was younger, but a friend of mine is letting me use his sled tomorrow so i can get him out there for the first time this year. Hopefully the fish are ready to eat by then.

There was quads out on West today as well as a bunch of trucks in Emerson and Smiths. I haven't been up around Spirit but I'm sure a few roads/paths are made.

Doonan do you have a flipover? You could pull your flipover with him sitting in it at either the grade or Millers Bay. Neither place will you have to go far. I used to drag my father in law around in my Frabill Triplex all the time. We would just wrap him in a quilt and take off. Good Luck
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

We ended up staying on the beaten path and drove the the truck out onto Buffalo run. It was prolly a mistake, but we were pretty well limited to were we could fish. I tried all over buffalo run without any success. Anyone do any good out there this weekend.

Fished it Friday thru Monday all over Spirit and West and pretty much got skunked.  We were able to use our quad to move around and drag two shacks but got stuck a couple of times in slush pocket.  Plan on going up in April with the boat to make up for this wasted trip.

Follow the tracks and set up 3' away from the shack that's there that's how you catch fish!!!!!
