Lake Mary Ronan ice???

Wondering if anyone has been there yet? How's the ice? And, where would I start for Perch? Thanks for your help, Adam.

In my hunting for info on this lake, a consumption advisory comes up for Lake Mary Ronan. Does anyone know what this is about and why there is one? Thanks again.

The advisory is for high levels of mercury in the salmon.  It isn't that bad, children and women and children should limit intake to six ounces a month.

We drove up to the lake today. There's 8 inches of ice with a few inches of slushy snow on top. We tried (mid day) in about 20ft of water directly out from the Lodge boat ramp, not even a bite. Moved around a little. Had lunch at the restaurant (awesome bacon cheeseburger & great people). Then we went down off of the State Park boat ramp and caught a couple small perch and that was about it. Didn't see anyone else out there fishing. We probably would have done better earlier in the day, hopefully someone will get up there and do better this weekend.

went out last saturday between 4-8 inches caught some perch in front of camp tuffit in 18'

was out again on the 26 9 inches of ice. caught perch on both sides of the lake in 24-28 feet of water caught 38 perch in 5 hours
the bigger ones seemed to be on the lodge end of the lake. had sparatic schools coming through suspended about 12 feet down
