« on: Dec 16, 2009, 03:14 PM »
Does anyone know how much ice there is on Montreal Lake? I think im heading out there on Sunday and am curioous if you can drive on the lake. Im not gonna be driving across the lake but closer to shore lets say 50 yards out or so just to get to our fishing spot. Also does anyone know how the fish are biting out there im looking to go get some big pike. Thanks everyone ahead of time and good luck.

Forecast looks not too bad. They will be hungry!

Have done well there, some slush on the way but worth it.

Ya that used to be our go to place but it seemed that was also everyone elses go to place everytime we went there seemed that it was surrounded. Friends of mine went there once last year with a little luck but talked to some guys that were leaving there taht had a 14 and 17 pounder. But we usually always fish by our same spot bout 5 miles north of the beach.

We pick up the odd walleye at our spot but we arent usually fishing for them either. I brought my camera out there once last year and seen more whitefish than anything. I cant remember the one spot was we went but there was alot of walleye there just as much caught as pike. Hopefully something is biting im all anxious to go keep watching ice fishing videos on youtube all day.
