Top free agent pitcher John Lackey is said to be in agreement on a five-year, $85 million contract with the Boston Red Sox, sources say. Lackey has scheduled a physical with the team.

Bring on the 2010 season....

Sweet, now if they add a big bat we'll be getting somewhere!  If we can't afford to go to games anymore, the LEAST they could do is put a good team on the field!

like to see lackey catch a fish thru the ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! probably not gonna happen!!!!!!!!!!!! atleast he will throw something other than fastballs like pap.!!!!

Thanks for not signing Billy Wagner and Takashi Saito, they will be a Great asset to my team.  And now Xavier Nady says he wants to be a Brave this year as well. Looking Good so far, GO Braves  :thumbsup:

 playing for the braves  getting paid by the red sox

Those are the ones we like the BEST. Your paying 9 to 12 million to go have Mike Lowell play for the Rangers. Look @ the Good News, you still got Poppy, I believe by the end of the season he made it over the Mendoza line. :whistle:

He can have every fancy pitch there is but doesnt mean he has as good of command as papelbon.
