Posting an Avatar
« on: Nov 24, 2009, 08:48 PM »
OK I have read just about every current and old post regarding this topic yet my avatar does not show up.  Here is what I did.

Join photobucket, loaded image into my album, re sized to less than 120x120, checked the box stating that I have my own avatar,  copied the hltm and pasted in the avatar line in my profile and then hit change profile.  No luck

Can anyone spell it out for a computer idiot?

Thanks

I helped you out a little. You were real close. You had the url of your whole photo album instead of just the url of that photo. Now it has just your photo url.

I am an everyday poster during the winter. My third season. I have changed my avatar a few dozen times. It still takes me over 20 trys to stumble on the right secret code to make it work. Note I have no avatar now.

Can any software writer with common sense help up poor ice fishermen get a program that is user friendly?

Photobucket works well enough but the avatar program on IceShanty.com really is not very compatable for many of us.  Please Brian, can you help us common computer literate guys get a better plan?
