Where to go
« on: Nov 15, 2009, 08:32 PM »
I'm from northern Indiana, a group of us old farts get together every Feb. to take a long weekend & go ice fishing. We've all fished Wisconsin during the summer but want to try it on hard water. We don't want to haul a ton of gear with us, so we would like to find a place where we can just bring our fishin' stuff and rent ice shanties. Anyone have any idea where we can find such a place?

I can't vouch for any of these as I just google searched for it.

Haven't heard of any places in the West Central area (where I live.)  Maybe this will help you get started?

Call or e-mail Jim Hudson at http://www.fishchequamegonbay.com/   I went to college with Jim and he is quite a guy.  Fishing on the big lake can be great if you know how, and Jim does.
