Hell of a day on the Ct River
« on: Nov 10, 2009, 04:37 PM »
Fished the river on Sunday for pike. The weather couldn't have been better. Frank and I launched in Rocky Hill at 6. We fished from White Oaks down to Glastonbury. Man, did we find a pile of fish! We managed to boat 13 fish and missed several others. No real big ones but lots of fast action. I never even picked up the Houdini today. I started with a Sebile Magic Swimmer and never put it down. In the shallow, weedy stuff I used a slow sink and in the deeper water I threw a fast sink. They both got hammered all morning long. Here are a few pics...

I may try to get out again on Thursday. I'll be screwing around on the river until things lock up.

It really is... I have 2 launches less than 10 minutes from the house, the best tackle shop in the state 5 miles from home and 60 miles of river to fish.  ;D

Nice!  I just moved to Rocky Hill right near the launch and have been starting to scope things out for ice season.  Can’t wait to try targeting some pike this year.

Nice day Blaine. The Sebile is a great lure, expensive, but worth the $$$.
