Glendo and Hattie are a couple that come to mind.  I've never fished Hattie (yet) but you can usually find a few perch at Glendo if you target them.  Since you live so close to the G&F headquarters, go pick their brains for some ideas.  If you get on a hot perch bite, be sure to let me know. they are a blast to catch!!  You might want to try some trout in the area since they seem to be willing biters through the ice.  Hope you can find some and good luck this winter!!

Hattie is a fair to good winter fishery just stop by the fly store on your way out there and get an update. I fished Curt Gowdy state park several times last year and had good to excellent success. We caught rainbows, yellow perch. In the past I fished wheatland 3 but not since the early 90's. I heard that the water level is up to the boat ramp now but haven't heard how the fishing is doing.

If you live in cheyenne you can catch all the perch you want at Sloans Lake. They run kind of small but it's still fun. Granite and Crystal have perch but they are hard to find and also are usually on the small side. As others have said Hattie has nice perch but as of last year were harder than normal to locate. Good luck out there

I grew up in Pine Bluffs and we used to fish Oliver Res in Nebraska. It used to be good, but they changed the way they manage the water so I'm not sure anymore. May be worth checking it out, maybe somebody on the Nebraska thread would know.

Sounds like a great day, I assume you weren't ice fishing or were you?  If not, did you check the ice thickness on the main lake?

Packer's Reservoir east of Yoder is also a good spot for walleye, trout, bass, catfish and crappie.  Usually has good ice around end of December.

I must be "crazy for ice" too, 'cause I fished Packer this afternoon.  I sat on a bucket for about two hours, 5 degrees and 10 to 15 mph winds.  Caught and released three 8" rainbow trout and had several more hits that I'm sure were small trout.

Packer lake is just west of Lyman, Nebraska, but is in Wyoming.  It is about 80 acres with the deepest water about 8' to 10', but lots of SHALLOW water.  I fished in 4' water.  This is the first time I have fished Packer.  It is part of the "access yes" program.  It is a small lake and they encourage catch and release for the bass and walleye.  It looks like a pond to fish bass in the summer.

Forgot:  ice 3" to 4" with 5" of snow on top of the ice.
