Got the floor all framed up, need some dry weather so I can put down the plywood and paint. Then we can set the bin on it and get the door installed. Gonna get some pics soon.

well that will certainly be the most unique shanty on the ice. it would be nice to get up and stretch the legs and not have to leave the fish house.

Here are a few pics. Got it all screwed together and did manage to get one coat of primer down before it got dark. Hope to be setting the bin on it Weds. if the wind isnt blowing and I can get my buddy to park his combine for an hour or so...

You should paint it like a big carousel, like at the fair.

Also, I think it would be cool to video someone yelling "Tip up!!" and then have 15 or 20 people come running out.

You might have to seriously think of an anchor system. High winds could wreck your new home.

Im pretty sure as much as its gonna weigh that if the wind blows hard enough to move it, ancors wouldnt have helped.

Sounds like the bin is getting set on the floor tommorow night. Im so dang excited I cant hardly stand it!!!

I will try to get pics of the process,but it will be after dark when we do it.

Looks good. Lots of ideas. I say keep it unpainted, park it in a bay and you will have the bay to yourself. People will walk bye thinking they are still on shore walking over a field or something. LOL Then the bay is yours.
Take out a few more any you have your own winter town.

looks like you'd have room for to park your truck inside too. haha. can't say I've seen many houses with indoor parking available.

Not really concerned with it freezing in at all. Im usually at my shack every day or 2 and am able to block them when nessasary.So far we have it figured at less than 2000 lbs. before interior stuff is added.

Ive actually got money on this that I can and will be able to move it with the Wheeler if there is no snow. Im gonna need chains though

Thats the best part. When you park on top of a tire pile you dont need to move at all

My little 6x12 only got moved last yr to get away from the neigbors
