Marcum...LX-5.....2500 watts of CVI-P

Protects me from Vex's working too well

CVI-P = Causing Vexilar interference-protection

for the record, I have never had a problem with the Vexliars, I just find the IR better on the LX-5...as well as a few more features....

Vexilar is what I have works great. Does mess with My buddy's Marcum tho.

I have to say, I was a big proponent of the Vexilar last year. I studied every detail of the Vex, Marcum, Showdown, and Lowrance Ice machine. At that time, I was planning on an FL-18 Ultra Pack. The bottom zoom appealed to me because I was slaying the perch in about 45 FOW all last winter. I thought it would be nice to be able to zoom in on the bottom 6 feet.

This year, I started looking into it again, and I found myself buying a Marcum LX3-TC. I like the tri color led's, which makes sense over blending 2 led's to make a third color. The power on the Marcum also increased, so that really pushed it over the limit for me, as well as price.

The Vex was going to cost me in the high $400's if I remember correctly. I was able to get the Marcum for $289 delivered.

Can't wait to get a chance to use it!

i dont have a favorite.any flasher will increase your catch rate.my vex fl8 works just fine but marcum vx1 had decent prices last year.in the end they all do the same thing.

Always had a vex and loved it, bought a humminbird at the end of season last year and I'll never go back.

I got a lowrance x67-c and I love it, I use it year around. I bought a trollin motor mount transducer for it and use it on the boat. Color screen is great seperates the botton from fish on the bottom real good. I have just never been a vex guy.

Vex hands down cant beat it.

Used mine almost every day from December 14th until March and it worked EXCELLENT for everything I went after. 8)

The coolest thing is watching how the fish respond to the action you are giving your jig. You can adjust on the fly. Also you can see the fish up high and bring your jig up to meet them. I love it

I've never used anything but a Vex. Have a FL20 and a FL8se. So for me, my Vexilar's are best. I've never seen any of the others in action.

I have only ever had a vex, but if I could have anything given to me for free it would be the Humminbird. I've seen it in action and love it. Crisper than all the rest! And yes CP. All Oakland County has is Rockbass

I use a special kind of "Marker" Its a remington 870 12 guage express magnum that chambers 3 1/2" shells. Perfect for my #4 buck coyote medicine!

Like Swift said, you just need to know how to use your flasher. I have a Showdown and love it, because I know how to use it and it catches me fish.

I agree period! Any electronic will put you on fish, I use a flasher(marcm VX-1) but many will work like showdown, vexilar, marcum, Lowrance, hummingbird...etc if you learn how the unit works, the unit will fish for you
