If it can't retrieve a duck, they're not for me...

I heard they taste like chicken.

Don't know about taste, but smell sure is different than chicken.   ;D  We had a little red mini dachs a few years back.  I real friend and smarter than any dog we've had since.  Just wasn't an "outdoor" dog.

The story about the ice-fishing trip was F-U-N-EEEEEE!

We have one, have had "Ringo" since 2003 when he was a puppy. I grew up in a weiner dog house, all we had when I grew up. Ringo goes out on the ice with me occasionally, and he behaves really well. Sits in the Clam Scouts tub next to me, and rests his chin on it. Great dogs  ;)

Oh, and like alot of others have said, they can be awfully ferocious- they were bred to wrestle badgers for petes sake, of course they have their moments!

Lmbo. My mother has always had wiener dogs. She has three right now. One is so fat her belly rubs in the grass let alone the snow. I call her the "Tubbed out lowrider". They've all been really good with the kids but, some have been total spaz's. One is named Beavis and his name suits him all to well.
