We're still averaging in the -20's with over 44" of ice so I think we still have a couple of days to go.   ;D    :icefish:

Been over for a couple of weeks here in SW Iowa.... bummer. Was hoping to get another month out of it, but had a week of 45 - 65 degree temps and it shot the ice to crap.

44 inches of ice!!! I am going to guess that you dont use a hand auger like I do down here in NJ...Your ice fishing season must be nearly as long as your open water...

We still have 8-10" on most waters here in Western NY. Temps at night all week in the teens. We'll be good for a while. We just had a slight pause when the 2-3' of snow melted and rain on top of that all in 1 day. Lots of flooding and high lake levels, broken shore ice. Back to normal now.

Still a lot of us fishing here in mid-Michigan. The bite is turning on strong again after the warm up we had. That shut things down on a lot of lakes for about ten days.

That 44" of ice was 2 or 3 weeks ago, should be a couple of inches thicker now. I'll find out tomorrow it's going to be a beautiful day -11C and gentle 10KMH south breezes.  ;D The niceset day so far this winter!!!!!
Beleive it or not there are guys that use hand augers up here, I'm not one of them!!!!!! I have a 10 1/4" 3HP Strikemaster Cobra and an 18" extension so I'm good to 60" of ice.  ;D

I'd say where done, here in sw,Pa, shore is iffy and lakes have very uneven ice,3 inches here 5 inches there and a inch of snow that I don't like, because I can't see what the ice looks like, may head the NY and fishL. Chat.

This is shaping up to be the longest ice season I can ever remember. Been on the hardstuff since November and probably will still be fishing into April.....that's almost six freakin' months of pure bliss man!!! Just have to keep my fingers crossed that major snowstorms don't mess things up ;)

Ice is 16-26" around here. It got up to 45 degrees with some rain and that literally ruined 3-4 inches of ice. It's back to being solid. Got below zero last night.. I have a feeling the ice will be very solid into the beginning of March. After that... who knows. When the ice goes, I want it to go fast.
