Crappie Jigs
« on: Jan 20, 2009, 07:00 PM »
Hey guys just curious as to what jigs you have had success with for Crappies here in Michigan. Jigs for use with waxies, spikes, & mousies, plus jigs for use with minnows. Looking to try some new jigs and thought I would see what models/sizes you guys liked. I have used a lot of the Lindy Fat Boys with good success.

I use a hali. or marmoska. or sometimes a little hook with a pin head on it and just let the minnow work its way down. thats how you catch them big boys ;)

i like a hali with a waxie or butterworm, but lately i've had my best luck with a white and purple marmooska with a waxie, and a white and pink demon glow with a minnow

I'm another fan of the Fat Boy, I like the Techni-Glo ones with that hot red eye. I tip 'em with Ratso Tails and Lil Atom Duppie Tails. Another favorite is the CJ&S Ratso Jigs in any of the glow colors. Have also used CJ&S Glow Demon Jigs. All of the above can be used with waxies, spikes, or minnows if need be.
