I have a couple pair of those handles. I sure won't be drilling by hand.
Thats Why They Call It Fishing.

Is there somewhere where you can just buy the offset handle. I tried doing a search and couldn't find any websites that sell just the offset handle.

I actually have an extra Nils handle that you can have if you want to give me a UPS account to ship it against.  I twisted my power auger shaft last year when I got it stuck bottoming it out in the thick ice last year.  I picked up a new hand auger for the shaft and head, I don't have any use for another handle.  It will be the older style with the older grips if that matters to you.  Drop me your name, address and UPS account number via PM and it's yours if you want it.

i don't have a ups account, but i could use the nils handle!  i have been searching for a long time for just an offset handle to put on my lazer auger.  i could paypal some money for shipping.

I don't know if you are even paying attn to this thread any longer rogcon, but I forgot to add that if you get the Nils do yourself a favor and buy a snap cap blade cover for it.  Definitely worth the money.

Willis--I'll give Riverrat another day or two; otherwise, we'll work something out.  I don't do Paypal though.

Just upgraded from an old Mora to Fin Bore III. As others have noted, the Finbore cuts like mad with little effort either by hand or paired with a good drill. I can't speak yet to its longevity as I only drilled a dozen test holes in about 18" black ice but man oh man is the unit a fine piece of equipment.
