yeah ive been a lil worried about that.  i have some 1/8 inch foam stock at work was thinking of trying to get it to stick up top to kinda insulate the cap a lil bit and hold heat in and also maybe to take care of that problem.  wont know till I get her done which might be tonight and then we get ice that im hoping is really soon.

Not sure if im going to insulate or not. Will see how long I have before I hit ice but I would like to.

Id insulate the lower box at least, it will help quite a bit.

Also, I would spray paint as much of it as possible with flat black to use the sun to your advantage. The white wont net you much solar (free) heat.

Paint it black - I have one like this that I made, and it really helps with the warmth. I put it on beams when it is on the lake  :thumbsup:and then it does not freeze to the ice when the sun is out or there is a quick chinook.

Your windows will fog up fast, probably more than the roof.

Carry a couple cotton rags for wiping like I do.

no tractor supply had a sale on just the mr heater one you mount on top of the propane tank for 30.00 so i bought it.  i was planning on using by buddy heater with a 5lb tank but now im going to use my new heater on a 20lb tank in the big shanty and i can use it in my garage to warm it up in there also.  my buddy heater will probably just be used in my clam pro and my killzone cube.  Im wishing I didnt order the 5lb tank and adapter hose and filter for it now.  but will see maybe I will just use my buddy heater in it like planned.  i got room for either or so if we get ice around here soon i can figure that one out.

I use the Mr Heater/cooker in my 4x8, and it pushes the temp to 90 in there in 5 minutes. The walls are insulated, but the floor and tin roof isnt.

Love it for heating coffee water.

Your heat will stick around longer if you insulate S10, and thats always a good thing. LOL

Tape up a roll of Reflectix on the ceiling and you won't get rained on.  Really a neat build you got there. Thought about doin one with a glass top from an s-10 I used to have, but decided it was too heavy. Catchin fish and good times with stuff you make DIY adds alot to the experience.  Good Job.
