Pontoosuc, Onota, Stockbridge bowl, Richmond Pond, Goose Pond, Laurel Lake, Lake Buel, Windsor Pond, Windsor Lake, North Pond, or Otis Reservoir hold trout. MA fish and game website does a good job at reporting when and where they stock trout. Check it out. Good Luck!

Some massive brown trout in Onota. They get huge on smelt. Then the pike get fat on trout. Great fishery.

I agree with the list but many of these lakes/ponds don't have safe ice.  Hopefully the current cold temps changes things.

Decent trout to be had some sizable due to smelt.  Problem is access is terrible and quite frankly fishing next to 90 is less than ideal.  As of now you cant get on to safe ice there from the access.

It also becomes a wind tunnel without a place to hide unless you have a shanty

Few large browns.  More rainbows from the farmington being stocked.  Can be lots of current under that ice and shorelines are normally rough due to changes in the lakes level.  It iced up once this season but as of now is completely open and at full pool.  It's very lightly fished and there is no development around the res.  PM me for ice details anytime...I'm 2 mins down the road.

I didnt think it would have ice yet.especialy the way the wind whips through that valey.but there are big browns, bows also and on rare times the odd brookie.ive been fishing that lake since the early 80s and no the browns arnt as plentiful as they were then but they are still there.if your willing to walk now is the time to start at the bridge and walk the river down to the inlet.i think youd be surprised by some of the browns youll hook into.since your that close we have to hook up this year im 15 minutes in the other direction.

My pb there is 6lbs on a gray ghost on 4 colors trolling.  As of late I catch more large rainbows that have washed down from the farmington.  Let's meet up there for sure.  Smallies galore.

Its a good looking toilet at least.  It did take me a long time to catch that brown compared to down the street!
