If I am fishing alone, most of the time I listen to books, on my MP3 player. I love to read, but it hard to find time to sit down and read, so I listen to a book or two a week. Also podcasts, but I am looking at a internet radio for the house... I think it is rude to "share" your "noise" with any one else... Ear buds are cheap!

I like to go out on the ice to get away and have some peace and get my thoughts together. I know that others like to here music and as long as they keep it down I'm good with it. I have had times that a group get together starts getting drunk and cranks it up and yelling and that when I think it is time to have a word with them. Most of the time They were cool with it and we found a happy med. The jerks that don't come to a agreement get to talk to the cops.

 What others do is fine, as long as it doesn't bother me. Myself, I go for the peace and quiet. Took my brother-in-law catfishing about 15 years ago, and the first thing he did was turn on some rock and roll, and said "I've gotta have music when I fish, hope you don't mind." We ain't went again.

 I'm gettin' to be such a anti-social old *****, I like to go by myself, then I don't even have to talk to anybody.

i always have my phone on Pandora.. but its normally some hank Williams or johnny cash for the fish around here

I have a small battery operated TOY STORY dollar store radio that thing is amazing it gets like 7 to 8 channels!  Better than my radio at home, and I don't think it goes loud eneough to bother anyone
