If we make it through December
Everythings gonna be all right I know
It's the coldest time of winter
And I shivver when I see the fallin snow

If we make it through December
I got plans of bein in a warmer town come summer time
Maybe even California
If we make it through December we'll be fine

I got laid off down at the factory
And there timings not the greatest in the world
Heaven knows I been workin' hard
I wanted Christmas to be right for daddy's girl
Now I don't mean to hate December
It's meant to be the happy time of year
And why my little girl don't understand
Why daddy can't afford no Christmas here

If we make it through December
Everythings gonna be alright I know
It's the coldest time of winter
And I shivver when I see the fallin' snow

If we make it through December
I got plans of bein' in a warmer town come summer time
Maybe even California
If we make it through December we'll be fine

Robb lost a MONSTER laker right away >:(  He had it on for a little while and was making some progress getting it off the bottom and then it got off :'(  It had to be at least 15 to 20lbs judging by the fight of a 5lber he caught later. I think in total we did about a dozen lakers with mostly small ones and we also scored two nice bonus walleyes that came off a doubleheader ;D  We had a great day out there, very warm and mild and there were 3 other boats out running riggers and boards for sammies, lakers and browns.  We also saw a bald eagle early on that came pretty close!
Where did ya go Slip. Sounds like you guys had a good time. I got skunked trying for Rainbows 2 days in a row :%$#!: I need to start fishing with you  :flex:

No, sadly I haven't gotten out in the boat on Conesus lately. I did get out for some eyes from the boat up until mid November, but I put it away. I wish I hadn't. Farginicehole, got out and hit the pike good on friday, and yankee troller hit the smallies Sunday. If I wasn't heading south for the holiday, the boat would be coming back out. I'm going to wait and see what January brings before I pull it out of the barn and put the motor back on though. Just shore fishing here and there when I can now waiting for ice. Have you been fishing or just slaying bambi?

Just hunting the last month or so.  Now that the season is over I plan on hitting the water somewhere.  Probably do some fishing on the Fingerlakes tributaries for some trout before that season closes (Dec. 31st.)   I'm also right in between Irondequoit Bay and the ponds around Braddocks, so I'll hit them over the next week or two for some perch.

Thanks for the kind words guys!! You guys catch your fair share of fish too ;). Fish do like me for some reason . I'll post those pics up sometime today, I think the one of your trophy came out good Slip!

I even lucked out with the muzzloader yesterday and bagged a skipper doe for some tender young venison on the ice. Carogakid and I were making our way to a watch and saw it near the trail, we both got a bead on her and we agreed to shoot on 3. I count 1, 2, and bang the Kid "accidentally" shoots on 2. Well the dear runs about 90yds out and I get a clean shot off and smack her right in the back of the head!

Man I laughed my A$$ off! He did apologize :D, and drag the deer a ways for me. His new name is on 2 Kid! Thanks to Ozzy for the great hunting spot, we bagged 4 all together for 2 days of hunting, no bucks though.

Fished Northwest Bay shorleline at LG on 12/17 with my trusty sportspal and fly rod.  Caught two nice salmon and lost another.  Not bad weather and water temperature is still 40+ which is not good for ice any time soon.  Best thing that could happen now is a big snow dump which will drop surface temperature dramatically (remember your high school physics?) followed by a nasty cold front and several days or weeks of consistently cold temperatures.  Maybe we could ask our Canadian friends to start up the great white air conditioner or at least offer us a discount on the Molsens.

MXFISHER656, I'd love to hit IBay but today I put my boat to bed for the winter. I'll be fishing somewhere that day though. Long Pond, Cranberry and even Ibay outlet have been doing pretty well.

I find myself spending money on ice fishing gear and tackle that i don t really need. the sad thing about it is some of it i already have.we need to walk on water and soon  this is driving me crazy also.
same here i just bought  a new nils auger to go with the other 6 hand augers and two power augers that i already have.and if i don't get ice quick i will probably add to my collection of jigging rods.what the heck it is only money. ::)

Eyedoktr, wish I could ask you to join me but I'm a guest in the boat I'm going out in. Good luck were ever you end up, the perch fishing has been hot lately.........wait who am I telling.........your posting the good reports! Thanks!!!

As far the boat being put away, I'm kicking myself for putting mine away. If we don't have ice soon after the holidays, mine will be back out!
