Wyo Ice, are you building a tip down?
Bring on the shack porn!!!!
Beeler this is Awesome!
So if I built the wall against the trailer 8 tall Id still have 10 sticking above. Would that help with leverage or be too much added weight to lift it up? I can slide the axel more towards the front if needed. Its just so hard to guess until the whole shack is built on it and I try it. I just dont want to waste a bunch of time and effort for something that wont work. Thanks for the replies and any more info.
Beeler, How do you make the wall that is connected to the trailer for instance strong enough?? I feel this puts a lot of stress on the wall alone and would have to be bulked up better?? Also how do you attach it to the trailer itself? Thanks!I glued and screwed 2x4's across all the studs on the inside of the shanty, then lined up the 2x4's with the cross members on the trailer and ran bolted. Also, bolted the 2x4 floor to the trailer. The blue shanty is Tip Down Shanty II and the other one is my first Tip Down.
