I bought a pair of Korkers wading sandals 35-37 years ago. They were pricey then and more so now. They have lasted 35-37 years, having bought replacement studs and the installation tool, busted straps have been repaired twice buy pop riveting nylon webbing in place, I plan to cork-off before I wear them out. Two things you never want to do, buy inferior safety equipment, walk on slick black ice without the best cleats / studs / chains you can afford. You get what you pay for.
