Drifter is your lake full of cool humps and shelfs that I would associate with shield rock, or more basin-like? It sure looks like it would have some awesome topo based on the surrounding rock and the islands. In a territory full of basins I sure do daydream about underwater islands, rock shelfs, cliffs, etc. Is that a hydro generating station at Greyling Falls? How big? That ice line looks like the scariest fun I had all week, no wonder you own a hovercraft...
Dang crap luck Hope you can get it fixed for tomorrow Good pictures!! WS
Silly question-------- GOT RUM??
Off topic and jealous. Drifter, see CBC HNC is in Yellowknife today/night.....did you make it out to enjoy the festivities?Still have yet to walk on safe ice here in SE Michigan, latest ever in my 59 years.
did anyone else notice ron maclean and the rest of the cbc referring to a salmon in a picture as a lake trout?
Drifter-016 sorry to read you are still battling the flu glad you could get to the alumni game. Thank you for the photos is the gentlemen wearing red helmet former Calgary Flames star Lanny McDonald. I recognize his also famous mustache . Since your dealing with illness probably enjoy a good laugh. When I checked local TV new channel's website this morning for the weather forecast the headline was weekend will start with bitter cold today's high was in the upper thirties and tonight some parts of the forecast area may get down to 10 .Think the weather forecasters need to spend some time in your area and discover what bitter cold really feels like. If your still on antibiotics may they help you ditch the flu know you would rather ice fish or be at the cabin then stuck at home. Steve
Drifter_016 thank you for the reply I've never followed the NHL to closely just remember Larry being on the Flames and helping the team win the Stanley Cup. You must of had a good day seeing Larry and Wendell Clark play one more game. Hope your doing better today. Is the Lake trout in the photo the new Canadian or world record for the species. Steve
