Looking forward to see the machine. If the deer would cooperate I might take a ride to the aderondacks in 8-10 days. Looks good up there.

oh, you guys are talking shoreline?  you wont see ice anytime soon, I am talking NW CT, it is 14 out this morning, and the ponds that are frozen already, wind won't hurt much!

Sure is cold this am.  Wondering if you and I live in different northwest corners because while it is getting closer I don't see anything that makes me think there will be ice in CT in a week especially with rain on the way.  I will be in the 'daks the Friday after thanksgiving...

Yeah, I just noticed that the weather up here is now calling for warmer tues/wednesday highs. than it was yesterday.  I am still hoping to get lucky though on a small pond near me.  Good luck up in NY, that is the call id make if I wasn't working fri sat and sunday.  They are getting some nice pike up there it seems.

It went down to 21 here, alittle bit of ice on some of the small lakes this morning. But this wind is hurting any changes of getting significant ice. I think the rain is probably going to kill any ice that is made the next few days anyway.  :-\   Checked the another lake around the corner from my house and the water temps was right under 40 at the shore that gets a good deal of sunlight.

Thanks bud, I am going with the expectation that I'll get skunked as I've never ice fished for musky.  Can't wait though, the guy I'm going with knows what to do!

TT Colebrook wasnt low because of rain, the Army Corps wantwd to inspect the tunnel underneat the dam so the lowered Hogsback and Colebrook, as of Saturday Hogsback was down 6' from normal.  Not sure about Colebrook's current level, Ill check tomorrow before work.  Btw when it was low every brown trout in Hogsback was next to the dam, me and a buddy caught about 200 between two weekends (not a single one was over 18")  they were stacked in the current from colebrook going through the dam into Hogsback.

local ponds (salisbury/canaan/norfolk) that i checked yesterday were 2 inches thick.  almost there....and we had over 1 inch of snow last night (same area) as well, though not a flake east of norfolk. it seems.
