Checked yesterday still not ready. I would guess next week if it stays cold
Me and fish won't have problems if they keep their mouths closed.

Drove by this morning all the rain melted most of the snow. Haven't seen anyone out there yet if I do I'll let you know. Usually there are some guys out jigging on the inlet by the launch on rt 5

Thanks for everyone's legwork on this topic, where did you measure the 4" stu? Off the parking lot or on the other side?

Awesome, oxbow is my go to localish spot, I'm assuming by this post it's yours too, if I meet you while we're out there this season I'll "buy" you a beer for all the help.  Good luck.

You should have no problem landing a couple, it's rare to see many over 32" come out of there, we've had a few in the 36-38 range but you will definitely see your fair share 20-28 inches.  A fun place for pike with more action than many other local pike spots.  I can't give you my exact spots because the place does get hammered and it's already a fight to get there early enough and beat the people out there that fish the same areas, but if you want any help shoot me a p.m. and I'll try to guide you in the right direction.

Got up early and hit the Oxbow before work. It was well worth it! I just brought my jigging set up with my Lowrance and pulled up about a dozen perch and gills and a few crappie. But the real kicker was pulling up a 3.25 lb larry with my noodle panfish rod! ;D ;D  There were a few other guys out there with tilts.  One guy pulled up a huge perch but other than that I only saw a few flags.  Good few hours on the ice, fishing in about 10 feet just outside the weedline.  There as about 5" but the water was rising so if your headed out bring a board. Good luck!

Parking lot is open, guys were out there the last couple days but as of yesterday you would need a ladder to get on the ice. Water was up a bunch, 10-12 foot gap on the marina side to solid ice. Ski club side usually has less of a gap but you get way wetter if you go through. If the water level dropped enough you'll be ok but I doubt it will be frozen enough to walk to the ice. Bring a ladder or two wide planks. Or waders.

6 " of ice today.  Easy on /off.    Most people in the pond area .   Just a couple guys under Powerlines  to 91.
We enjoyed catching bowfin to 9lbs,  pike to 7 lbs, Cats to over 10lbs, medium pickerels , bass and perch     The Bowfin was a quest for my son
