I told the G/F-"Queen of the Lake"-that we have 6 weeks to finish the kitchen before PA trout opens and open water season starts-then I'm not sure how often I'll be home from not fishing--so in the meantime, the new kitchen will be my prime objective---can't fish til its done--unless we are still maybe doing Sandy Pond--

and here i sit laid up for another 2 weeks.....wudda be a good time to fish northern sandy out in front of eddies cove...last ice up there can be deadly for big pike.......

on that last trip to Huntington, by the looks of the picture that was taken of the fish and the hole, we maybe missed that spot by about 50 yds.....can't wait to get back up there and get into some browns and those slob crappies....TFB and I have plans to use the NY free fishing day to take the boat up there to scout and learn more about the lake and to catch some nice fish

it was all from one hole. only 2 came from other holes. we just didn't drill enough jigging holes.

just had wings and beers on lake huntington tonite....2 jet ski's ...one paddle boat...and huge bay style boat were racing around....

till someone doesn't let me get a picture of the first pickerel I ever caught before he threw it back.. I darn near dove in after it.... says it almost bite him....

Well, I have to sat TFB that I can only assume your pickerel was bigger than the ones Topher caught And yes ,we would like to know what you make him do mothers day, we won't laugh.... promise

well... last Mother's Day I waited until we had the boat loaded and were ready to pull out to tell him where we were headed.. didn't leave him too much time to argue. The place I wanted to go said "hand carry boats only"

Let me tell you though the boat itself is light, it is pretty heavy when it's full of all the necessities!! So we finally did get it in the "pond." At one point, he shuts off the motor, so I asked why, he says "we are churning up mud"

While we are rowing back to the deep part... this HUGE carp rockets by making a wake in the water. All in all it was a great day of fishing, some nice pickerel and panfish. Tried but couldn't get the carp to bite on anything, there were a bunch of really big ones, but they were very spooky.

This years location has had some beautiful fish pulled out of the ice over the years, we have bank fished it, but have never taken the boat because it's not the easiest to off load the boat there... but we WILL this year
