Absolutely awesome pics, Forktail! Some day I'll get up there. Just like you, I'm still waiting for that "one"......or two or three. I won't complain.  ;D

an action-packed morning, followed by a slow afternoon.  Forktail did hook into something big, but lost it.  we'll get 'im tomorrow.

and met two fine young men from the board on the ice yesterday, Bottom Dweller and Forktail (I was able to identify "Forktail" from a long distance by the homing beacon blue coat,  ( I think the batteries for that coat are bigger than the one for his fish finder, LOL).

Tight lines and good times.

I fished through the ice yesterday and today with BottomDweller.  We caught some fish.

This fish didn't want to go down.              This one almost didn't make it up

This is BD, Ouzel and Ouzel's wife.  I think they're talking about fishing.
(It was nice to meet you too Ouzel.  Great fish you caught by the way.  See you out there.)

Here is BD as the wind picked up

Today I caught 2 fish to start off the morning.  The first was my biggest yet.  3-1/2 lbs.  It had great color

The second was bigger.  6 pounds, after it spit up almost a pound of food.

So I have finally caught something bigger than the average fish.  Now I want to catch something even bigger.  If baby steps is what it takes, then I'll take them.  I love this sport.

nice - you can see that 6 lber eyeing his lost meal...  got greedy, went all-in, and lost it all.  ♠

congrats on the release, too
