Stumper, the Lowrance unit does have a flasher screen
that has a bottom lock, a graph which also has a
split screen bottom lock, ALSO a speed, temp, and
depth screen which allows you to use on your boat
in the summer. IMO, alot more bang for your buck.
Do a little research about "flashers" and i'm sure you
will also find the Lowrance x67c included.

wife bought the vpg unit last year, she thought it would be easyer for her to read than her f-12, it is easyer to understand the display if you have never used a flasher unit before, she soon found out if you get around a lot of other flashers it cant handel al the interferance, by the time you ajust it all out you lose your ability to see your jig. also when you put it in the ice mode to keep the lcd display warm the battery only last about 6-7 hrs, if you dont use the ice mode you get about 8-10 hrs on a charge, on the + side it is nice an compact, easy to read, light, and charges in about 2 hrs.

You must not have it adjusted correctly.
There is only one theory about angling in which I have perfect confidence, and this is that the two words, least appropriate to any statement, about it, are the words "always" and "never."
