4 or 5x is fine....i like a light invisible presentation ....most of the trout ya catch will be from 1lb to 4/5lbs...shad on the other hand can be quite a handful...i got a st.croix 3/4 weight i use for brooks & gills on the ponds....the winston is the river rod...also topher don't forget to got them little line nippers and a pair of forceps's on a zinger so ya don't drop them in the water.....when tying flys on the water i put my fly in the jaws of the forceps while i make my knot...just some tips... ;D

geeze topher i almost forgot the most important thing....a thermometer...trout feed best when water temps are from 50 to 65 degrees....and where theres alot of oxygen...i always fish ripples..above them ..in the middle & the tail....

I have one of those zingers with a set of nippers on it---its even pink  ???  and 2 hemostats from my little hand incident..I think with the way that the weather has been lately, It may be a while before we see 50 degree water...and I read about the thermometer in the books, and the fishing spots to look for the fish..

sorry I missed ya Hawg I got tied up in am. I got to east coast about 2:20. I did see someone in a green pickup that looked like your picture. I passed him in front of the Beach Lake fire House ???
Not a bad drive from me about 40-45 mins. Hopefully we'll hook up one of these days,if not fishing on the back 9 :thumbsup: Any decent inexpencive coarse's near you?? 9 or 18 >:D :thumbsup:

yepper tim....i got a great little course just up from callicoon 20.00 to 30.00 for 18 with a cart...frenchwoods golf course...if they open cricket hill here in honesdale is fun and cheap....if me pop can get the passes..we could play the villa roma cheap... ;) ;D nope on the green truck...i was in a beat up gran am.... ::) ::) ::)......

Sounds great thats in my beer drinking budget ;D There is a coarse here in Ellenville Shawangunk Country Club
it's only a 9 hole ,,play it twice for 25 with cart.. Plus it's a challenging coarse ;D The last time we played last year I shot a 51 for 9 holes. ??? ??? one of my best games :clap: :whistle: And when we play semi sober man what a different game ::) ;D That's what is nice about playing close to home mama will drop us off and come get our drunken butts LOL gotta love her :clap: :bow: :thumbsup:Trying to get her to play this year not sure if it is a good idear or not,,when I take her fishing she end up cooking and being the cooler keeper ;D ;D

 i have played the shawangunk course....i never got to play the course by the old Neville hotel .. years back i hung the drop ceilings / ceiling tile in that little hotel next to it...falls view i think it was called....i did the indoor tennis area... ellenville bank drop ceilings...been years since i've been  up that way......yepper ... we should get up a " summer meet and greet " ..... :thumbsup: did the knife place go out in ellenville ????????  my blondzilla wont fish or golf so i normally get asked to leave the house on the weekends...must be my dynamic personality.... ;) ;D :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Yes Pooley is right schrade went out of buss. it's a shame they made one of the best knifes;and little do many people know if your knife wore out from use all you had to do was go to the factory and they would rebuild your knike for no charge I did that one or two times; usually while you wait ??? you don't see that anymore :bow: and tose knives hold a good edge
