What'cha doing out on the ice, Corny?  I thought those SnoBear's had holes through the floors and you
could just fish right inside?  That you'd never have to leave that thing.  Drive out onto the ice, drill a hole
from inside (using your Gator!--Okay Hazzy?), catch your fish, and then just drive off the lake.  Heck,
I heard you wouldn't even have to dress warm, cause they have heat inside.  I heard they also had a color TV,
microwave, dish washer, and a wet bar! ::)

Just kidding, Corny.  I'm jealous.  Please post more pictures, inside and out.  What kind of engine in it?  Does it raise and lower onto/off the ice?  Do you have to register it as a snowmobile or what?

Very jealous,
MD

kool vehicle but check this out!!!

from an online write up on Sno bear

"The SnoBear (below) is a fully equipped fish house that can be driven along the ice on tracks and skis. It lowers itself at the flip of a switch, and built-in power drills cut as many as six fishing holes into the lake's surface. The vehicles, which cost from $33,000 to $50,000,    :o :o :o :o :o :o can be customized with anything from satellite TV to GPS-enabled fish-tracking devices"

Ill take some better pictures this weekend when its light outside....go to work in dark come home in dark .....she is a beauty and When went fishing sunday we were the only people fishing on a 20 mile lake.... as no one else can get on except for sleds and it was cold...  I got out to try to set some tip-ups but it was a bit tooo cold they froze up.  Yes it does lower down to the ice flat, you can drill holes from inside up to 6" with a icegator but I dont have one yet... just my old jiffy.  Yes it was 60 deg inside the Snobear and I put on the extra clothes as it was about -12F when the pic was taken. She has a 40 hp  Zeinith/Hyundai 4cylinder 4 stroke engine will take pics of.  Yes you can add on a lot on her but mine is pretty plain just ready to catch walleyes, here is a pic of one of my three other buddies I took with and the first walleye caught in her....   Yes they are expensive but life is short and as I said... I havent had a sled in a LONG time.... I have friends with Ranger boats just for walleye fishing that cost a lot more than the Snobear... and they dont open up unlimited walleye areas no one else can get to...without freezinn..Plenty of room for 4 big guys to fish in the shortest fishing was 6ft tall. In ND you dont have to registar at all, in minnesota they tax you for a snomobile license.

I just got my sled...wow talk about being able to hit spots you only dreamed of.

I was all over Petrie today.  I did manage to get her stuck once though... but thanks to some fine strapping lads we freed her up and got back into action.

Hey Seaweed, that looks like my Artic Cat Pantera that I got last year and just love. Your pic is a little bury, is it a pantera?

Either way, you'll be able to hit tons of places with that sled.

Mainedog it will go anywhere a short base sled will go.  I was fishing today with her in significant slush.. about 6" under the snow, I only broke thru in one place and got out of there, If stuck will shovel the front out, it has a manual differential lock to use both tracks together and back out...I did get her stuck the first time out in deep snow going down a hill, I just backed up with the manual diff. the snow was about 3-4 ft in the valley I tried to drive into.

That's an amazing vehicle/fish house/people hauler.....Do you have a vested interest with the company or are you just a customer?

I will speak up on Corny's behalf; He gets nothing but enjoyment from his Sno-Bear. He does not benefit financially from Sno-Bear. He is just happy to have a really cool ice machine. I have chatted with Corny on several occasions and find him to be a really nice guy. He has worked smart in his life and is reaping the rewards. Have fun Corny, I know another guy in SD who laments all the snow and cold, doesn't want to be out fishing. Good to see you can persevere.

Sorry Corney.  My last question didn't sound right.  Personally whenever I am giving a product review/endorsement on this site, I try include a standard disclaimer of not being associated with the
company.  There are some folks here on other forums who are, so I try to filter what I read.

I really appreciate honest customer feedback of any product (hence the poorly worded question in my last post).  I have been hearing/reading about those SnoBears for a couple years now, and am thrilled to be getting some first hand, unbiased feedback.  I hope to it read more about your adventures out in your totally amazing vehicle.  Your honest opinions are highly appreciated, and will no doubt help others decide if the investment is appropriate.  In the mean time, please keep the reports coming!

Again, sorry if I offended.
