We usually eat Brats, home grown pig, burgers, dogs, deer meat, chilli, and BEER

Deer meet and pig meat are my favorites

me too. This is my hunting trip in Illinois last fall. That pig tasted way better than the deer by far. took some of the pig and mixed it with the deer hamburg...turned out very good.

Usually left-overs from the night before. Wrapped in tin foil and warm up on the lantern. Nothing better than warm food when on the ice.

If I'm with a group we usually cook up a beef stew, hamburg stew, or corn chowder. We also had sloppy joes one day.
It definitely revives you having a hot meal on the ice.

Thanks, here's another pic with some deer steak in the pan.

       

This was some of most tender deer steak that I've had. The guy that brought it didn't make the trip. He was all loaded up, but was white as a ghost as we were about to leave. He was coming down with the flue and decided to stay home at the last minute. He didn't want to be in the outhouse at below zero temps all weekend. Can't blame him. He left us the steak though. Thanks Jason.

Very nice set up, I think all the food on the ice tastes much better.....must be the clean crisp air.
