Is it a trout? Is it a salmon? It all taste like chicken, who cares lol, Congratulations on your first salmon icefishing,there's not many of those out there to be caught but you got one! Great job!
It does if there is strict regulations on certain species like here in Maine.  Not trying to be a bearer of bad news, but around here species identification is very important.

100% catch ratio, better than most  1 for 1, nice job,  make sure you get that auger for next year,  your hooked   
Nice fish and welcome to another pricey addiction. Auger....Power auger......more tipups......more rods.......a 2"x4" tackle box with $300 worth of jigs........a shanty......a 4wheeler to pull the shanty........well you get the drift.
Anyways welcome to the wonderful world of ice.
