Well, wasn't gonna get a ticket, but I got it, now I'm pumped to cath my first togue, hope it's a WINNER!!!!

P.S. Derbyguy, does it matter where we get our packet, or any weigh site will do?

you don't even need to pick up your packet to fish....just have your I.D. with you, in case you enter a fish....

the packet is basically copies of the web page....

Who wants to bet some "Out of Stater" thinks his Winnebago will make it from the Standish Station to the State Park. Every year there is someone that is going to pay dearly to have their vehicle pulled from the depths of the big lake.

I wondered why we didn't have our own derby within a derby going, or was it a secret?

Weighed in a 4.35 pound 24 3/4" togue at the Fin and Feathers weigh station. Asked him to write ICESHANTY on the weigh ticket. He had not heard of the iceshanty derby. No trophies at the banquet. Did this fall through this year? No trophy? Four fish Sunday with my son. Flags kept us plenty busy during the morning till 0830. Slowed down considerably after that. Lefthanded drilled 84 holes for the youngsters derby I'm told. Wow, I get tired with 10 holes.... good for you LH! (And thanks) Hemmingway won the boat, motor and trailer then went on to win the snowmobile in the drawing. His lucky day!

I actually drilled 60 holes and I think my auger got a little hot.. and was bogging down... when the blades are super sharp... it can chew some ice...

and my feet were soaked from walking in the slush...

considering the time change and the fact that legal fishing hours are until 7 pm sunday.....do the weigh stations still close at 4, as stated on the flyer, or are they gonna be the same as last year?.....open till 6?

tiny's going up to scope out Great pond on saturday.....probably fish it for a while. hopefully he finds a honey hole with plenty of parking for sunday....

thank you for your help im from bridgton down by sebago lake i know were id like to try down by austins bog but i have no way of getting there from the boat landing.

there is an updated weigh station list, but the only new place I see is for the northern guys....John's Country Store in St. Francis.... $:-\$
