Ok guys, you've seen Coldbum's pictures of our 1st trip out on the hardwater and here are mine.

It was all quite new for me to be walking on such thin ice, but we used our heads and did everything as safe as possible.
The center of the orange marks are the 6" mark.

Holly cowwww!

With all the holes popped open while wearing life jackets, picks around the neck's and using a 100' rope with all 3 of us on it trianglized and spread out. It wasn't long before we got our tip-ups in and waiting for our 1st fish of the season.

Then back to set up base camp for the day.

And camofish struck 1st blood with this little perch on the jig pole and watching it all on the sonar.

It wasn't long before the 1st tip-up flag

to fly high.

Then, yet again

Fish On!

Then it wasn't long before Coldbum got his 1st perch on jig pole and then his 1st

yielding a small pickerel then his 2nd

flying high yields the biggest fish of the day.

All 3 of us caught something which made the day

2 thumbs up.
Thanks for the leason in early ice safety and the thrill of the 1st trip of the season on the hardwater.

Hey Camo looks like a good time and a few fish to be had. I heard some rumors though and I think its time to put away those floaty things

Must have felt good to stand on some safe ice (after all this down time)...even if the fishing was a litttle slow. Bad day fishing beats a good day working!
