Custom rod builds Ice

Generally, the blank is epoxied to the tube, but it can be done. I personally have never built a rod with an interchangeable blank, but Fenwick makes their "Methods" rod this way, and I've seen others. I'm not sure if it's simply a friction fitting.

For me, this makes little sense, because I like to have my rods strung and ready to fish when I'm on the ice. And it seems like the blanks would have to be very similar for it to work - ie, a longer vs shorter blank with the same butt diameter.

Getting into building ice rods for a second business adventure I know its late in the season and I just started building some rods this one is my first rod I'm building if anyone is looking for an affordable ice rod p.m. me I'm not tuned up customs where they need your left nut for a ice rod to use 4 months out the year

You can have the left and right one of mine.... Darn things are nothing but trouble lol

Thanks striper   It's not a real expensive rod, but I only spend a week or two a year on the beach whenever the wife decides she needs some sun so I will try your method. I had thought about it before but just wasn't sure having never worked on or built a rod before
