Ive got the dakota and amped lithiums.dakota had decent customer service when i had issues but amped went above decent customer service and really stands by their batteries.so far i have not had great luck with lithium tech for my fishfinders.one off gassed when moisture created a reaction across the terminals and the other just went dead after using it 3 times.nothing is really made in the USA anymore.might be assembled here with parts from china.

The biggest thing that will kill these batteries is charging when cold. Hook up a charger when they are below 33f and say goodbye to that battery.

Short circuit should be protected by the BMS, it will cut power to the cells instantly after one spark.
