That brookie has to be bigger then six pounds i would of gest around 10 NICE FISH :o :o :o ;D

Nope weigh all my fish on my certified scales. But I agree it does look bigger.

But this one was 6lbs 4oz. It's the biggest one out of my trout pond so far. I mounted it and donated it to the Red Cliff Tribal Hatchery in Bayfield, Wisconsin as that is where I orginally got it as a 7 to 8 inch fish.

And I see you're still sore about the pond raised brookies vs. your "wildcaught" ones last year. It's been a year and you still hold a grudge?  ::)

Isn't this thread titled R:new pics updated November 21?
 ???
Is me posting fish pics that far off thread?

I sure did. Beautiful pics. I think I'll refrain from posting there though as it looks like one of those posts that could end up in a beer tavern brawl if you know what I mean.  ;D

Not that I don't mind a brawl now and then, but you know what they say about arguing on the Internet: "Arguing on the Internet is like being in the Special Olympics. If you win you're still retarded!"

I do question how a pure brook trout would have a forked tail, but I'll leave it at that. I think what some of those guys are forgetting is when you cross two species the offspring will run the full spectrum of being similar to each parent species and in between. I got chewed out by my fisheries professor because I contended there must be a sure fire way to tell splake from the parent species. It's been quite a few years ago but I still remember it!

i have said my peice as well, even with the new "proof" pictures i can't get around the forked tail either, its a war you can't win so I'll let it go I guess. yeah i'm sure this one could go the distance if someone wanted it to.

I just got done viewing all the Trout photos in this thread and all I can say is "Holy Cow", those are some real beauties! I'm envious, the temps here in Pa. have been in the upper 50's the past few days! No ice here anytime soon! >:([/size]

on a side note-
how do you guys think that tail is forked? in the pic he had the tail pinched, so thats why it sort of looks forked...if you spread the tail you can clearly tell it would be a flat tail.

Neither am I. The pic that made him mad last year wasn't that one anyway. It was the 6 lbs. 4 oz fish that was caught on hook and line. He even apologized after a moderator told him to cool it. So much for the apology.

I'll let it go. Nothing more needs to be said. He is obviously jealous.  ;)

went out again today less flags but I managed to ice a couple, including the first tiger i've ever iced :)[endquote]

what is a tiger?  it kinda loks like a brown or a brook... is it a separate species?  i've never heard of them in wy.

Here's a couple of pics for bottom dweller:

Courtesy of B. Fish on the Taxinet. Fish Reference section. Just like any other hybrid they can vary a little in appearance.

that's definitely one of the coolest looking kinds of trout i've ever seen.  With the brown genetics, you'd think they'd get big?  any lunkers you guys have caught, seen, or have a picture of?
